Saturday 5th July sees both St Mary's and St Anne's hosting young bellringers from as far afield as Cornwall, Yorkshire, Kent and Lancashire in the Ringing World National Youth Contest. The RWNYC is one of the bellringing community's flagship events, with up to 350 young bellringers involved across about 35 teams. The Brumdingers, which practice at St Mary's will be competing at Edgbaston Old Church. St Mary's will have groups of young bellringers visiting for a lot of the day, including one of the actual competitions in the afternoon, while St Anne's will have ringing for a couple of hours in the afternoon.
