Our Ministry Team

Here at the Parish of Moseley, you are likely to see a number of different faces leading our worship, as we are blessed to have many people in our Ministry Team, as well as a number of retired clergy who assist.

Revd Angela Hannafin

VICAR

Revd Ange joined the Parish in September 2024 and is enjoying getting to know everyone!

Revd Magdalen Smith

ASSOCIATE VICAR

Magdalen was licensed as our Associate Vicar in September 2021. She has been an ordained minister for 25 years and loves exploring how people grow into the people that God is calling them to be, at whatever age and stage of life. 

Bishop James Langstaff

ASSISTANT PRIEST

James retired as Bishop of Rochester in 2021 an relocated back to Moseley. He enjoys covering Sunday services and can also be found singing in the choir at St Mary's.

Revd Keith Bishop

ASSISTANT PRIEST

Keith ministered in Southwark before moving to Birmingham. He enjoys worshipping at St Anne's where we sit in a horse-shoe, facing each other and he oftens leads our mid-week communion service.

Revd Professor Frank Berry

ASSISTANT PRIEST

Frank has been a part-time assistant priest in the Parish since 2007 and also acts as a Bishops’ Inspector for Ministerial Training. Professionally he is a scientist and is Honorary Professor of Chemistry at The University of Birmingham.

Mark Simons

READER

Mark was licensed as a Reader in 2018 and works full time as Verger at Birmingham Cathedral. 

Sabina Bealt

READER

Sabina was licensed as a Reader on 8th February 2025. She is looking forward to serving God in St. Mary's, St Anne's and the wider community.

Our Churchwardens

We are very blessed to have three incredibly hard-working and devoted Churchwardens.

Angela Brown

CHURCHWARDEN - ST MARY'S

Angela has been Churchwarden for 4 years, having worshipped at St Mary's for many years. She takes an active part in all aspects of church life, including being Chair of the Hospitality Group.

Our Staff Team

Our dedicated Staff Team support the ministry and mission of the parish in many valuable ways.

Rachel Kinning

CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND OUTREACH MINISTER

Rachel joined the team in September 2019. She runs our Children's worship during Sunday services, runs a very popular weekly Stay and Play session and is also responsible for outreach to our local schools. 

Fiona Chew

BENEFICE SUPPORT MANAGER

Fiona and Trish have shared this role since November 2017. They are based in the Church office and are the first point of contact for all general enquiries, plus those relating to weddings, baptisms, funerals and hire of our facilities.

Trish Everett

BENEFICE SUPPORT MANAGER

Mick Perrier

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Mick has faithfully served St Mary's Church for over 40 years as Director of Music and still has boundless enthusiasm for all things music-related!

Richard Cooper

SITE SERVICES MANAGER

Richard joined the team in January 2025 as Site Services Manager. He's looking forward to putting his experience into practice across our sites.
